Calculation engine
Positions of the Sun, Moon and planets come from Astronomy Engine (MIT licence), an ephemeris library that reproduces reference positions with roughly one arcminute accuracy. Longitudes are apparent, referred to the ecliptic of date.
The lunar node is the true node, derived from the Moon’s instantaneous orbit. The sidereal zodiac uses the Lahiri ayanamsa (accuracy about 0.01°).
Time and time zones
Local birth time is converted to universal time with the IANA time zone database, including historical clock changes. Accepted dates run from 1800 to 2100. If the entered time does not exist or is ambiguous (clock change), the site warns you. Before standard time zones, local mean time is used: check it if your certificate says otherwise.
Houses
Placidus (iterative semi-arc calculation) or whole sign. At polar latitudes where Placidus does not exist, Porphyry houses are used and flagged. Without a birth time, the Ascendant, Midheaven and houses are not computed.
Aspects
Conjunction, opposition, square, trine, sextile (major) and semi-sextile, quincunx (minor), with wider orbs for the Sun and Moon. Applying/separating is determined from speeds.
Events
Moon phases, eclipses, retrogrades (stations), sign changes and exact aspects are found by computation and refined by bisection; they are given in universal time (UTC).
Interpretations
Texts are written in advance and assembled according to your real positions (sign, house, aspects, dignities). They are not random: the same chart always produces the same text. Compatibility scores are a symbolic calculation of aspect closeness and have no predictive value.
Numerology
Pythagorean method (A=1 … I=9, J=1 …). Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept. Every calculation is shown in detail.
Limits
An exact calculation does not make the interpretation predictive. Accents in names are normalised for numerology. Geocoding relies on an external service: check the displayed city and time zone.
Astronoria offers a symbolic reading intended for personal reflection. Planetary positions are computed; the interpretation is neither a certain prediction nor medical, legal or financial advice.
